Pulmonology Hospital in Panchkula

Every breath we take is a testament to the remarkable efficiency of the human respiratory system. When that system is compromised by infection, chronic disease, occupational exposure, or structural abnormality, the impact on daily life can be immediate and severe. At Park Hospital, Panchkula, our Department of Chest & Respiratory Diseases provides comprehensive, expert care for all conditions affecting the lungs, airways, and pleural space, combining advanced diagnostics, evidence-based treatment, and compassionate patient support.

Our team of experienced pulmonologists manages the full spectrum of respiratory conditions, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary tuberculosis, community-acquired and hospital-acquired pneumonia, obstructive sleep apnoea, and pleural diseases, including effusions and empyema. We also provide specialized care for lung cancer in close collaboration with our oncology and thoracic surgery teams, as well as for patients with complex or difficult-to-manage chronic respiratory conditions.

Our diagnostic capabilities include high-resolution chest CT, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), sleep study polysomnography, and cardiopulmonary exercise testing, providing our pulmonologists with the comprehensive data needed to make accurate diagnoses and informed management decisions. Our bronchoscopy suite is equipped for both diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy, including transbronchial biopsy, bronchial lavage, and endobronchial interventions.

For patients with severe respiratory failure, our close collaboration with the critical care department ensures seamless escalation to mechanical ventilation, invasive or non-invasive when required. Our sleep medicine program provides comprehensive assessment and management of sleep-disordered breathing, including the prescription and follow-up of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy for patients with obstructive sleep apnoea.

Respiratory rehabilitation is an important component of our program for patients with chronic respiratory conditions. Structured exercise training, breathing techniques, and patient education improve exercise tolerance, reduce symptom burden, and enhance quality of life for patients living with COPD, interstitial lung disease, and other chronic respiratory conditions.
