Urology is a branch of medicine that treats illnesses of the male and female urinary tracts (kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra). It mostly deals with the male organs that are capable of producing children (penis, testes, scrotum, prostate, etc.). Urologic health is crucial since health disorders in these bodily parts may affect everybody.

A urologist is a doctor who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of urinary tract problems. A urologist is trained to treat medically and surgically various health problems that affect one’s kidney, urinary bladder, urethra, penis, testicles, and scrotum.
