Ear Conditions

Deafness is a condition in which the capacity to perceive particular sound frequencies is compromised partially or fully. If a person has partial or total deafness, they should consult an ENT expert. An ENT can also treat an ear ailment such as an ear infection, hearing loss, balance disorders, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), or ear discomfort. Our ENT specialists are professionals in performing Cochlear Implant (CI) surgeries on individuals who are profoundly deaf or hard of hearing. Cochlear implants are intended to simulate natural hearing. It operates by employing the latest technologies that replicate the non-working portions of the ear and is sometimes referred to as a bionic ear.

Other ear conditions treated are:

Tinnitus- A condition where there is a sensation of hearing noises or ringing in the ear. This is a situation in which a person hears a sound that no one else can hear. Tinnitus is not an indication of a serious illness and can be readily treated.

Eardrum Perforation:A rip or hole in the eardrum that causes hearing loss. This syndrome may also leave the middle ear more susceptible to infection or damage.
