Refractive surgery is a medical procedure involved in improving or correcting vision. A procedure for correcting the refractive error of the eye and commonly used for removing the usage of power glasses and lenses completely.

A surgery which can be performed on anybody with steady refraction for those who are >18 yrs of age. Generally, there are two types of procedures that are associated with it, namely:

• Corneal procedure: a laser assisted power correcting method. Lens based procedure: an intraocular operation to correct spectacle power.
