Critical Care in Ambala

The Department of Critical Care at Park Hospital, Ambala, is the largest critical care team in the region, with at least 3 intensivists on duty round the clock, excluding the OT department.  dedicated to providing round-the-clock, life-saving medical support to patients facing the most severe and complex clinical conditions. Equipped with a state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit (ICU), the department serves as the hospital's highest level of medical vigilance, where every second counts and every decision matters.

The unit is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of intensivists, critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, and support personnel who work in seamless coordination to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care. The team manages a wide spectrum of critical conditions, including respiratory failure, sepsis, multi-organ dysfunction, post-surgical complications, traumatic injuries, neurological emergencies, and cardiac crises.

Advanced monitoring systems ensure continuous assessment of each patient's haemodynamic status, oxygen levels, ventilatory parameters, and neurological responses. The ICU is equipped with modern mechanical ventilators, bedside CRRT, POCUS, hemodynamic ultra-modern monitoring devices (including invasive pressures & cardiac output), and infusion management systems, all enabling precise, data-driven clinical decisions.

A key strength of the department lies in its collaborative approach. Critical care specialists work hand in hand with surgeons, cardiologists, nephrologists, neurologists, and other specialists to formulate individualized treatment plans that address the root cause of each patient's condition while managing systemic complications.

Family communication and emotional support are also integral to the department's philosophy. The team regularly engages with patients' families, providing clear updates and compassionate guidance through what are often the most difficult moments of their lives.

At Park Hospital, the Critical Care Department exemplifies excellence, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to saving lives.
