Not much preparation is required from your end for this test, however do keep these points in mind:

● Make sure to not wear makeup around your eyes, and also the clothing should be comfortable.

● It would be advisable to avoid caffeine before the test, as it can affect how your brain reacts/responds.

● The test is non-invasive, so there’s no need to worry about needles or any discomfort.

Is the VEP test painful?

No, it’s completely painless. You’ll be asked to sit in front of a screen with a series of light patterns or checkered visuals, and sensors will be placed on your scalp to measure your brain's response.

Am I introduced to certain risks if I take this test?

How long does the VEP test take?

The test usually takes about 30 minutes. It’s quick, and you’ll be able to go about your day as usual afterward.

Can I eat or drink before the test begins?

Yes, you may consume food and drinks normally you do before the test. Just avoid caffeine if possible
