Past Experience

Dr. Sangeeta Tikoo is a Nuclear Medicine Physician with over 25 years of experience in her field. She has been associated with major hospitals in the past namely Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai, Aditya Birla Hospital, Pune, Artemis, Medanta in Gurgaon & Max Hospital, Delhi.

She has presented numerous scientific papers, both at national and international levels. She has been a part of research activities with various organizations including International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB), Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Board of Radiation & Isotope Technology (BRIT) and Dept. of Atomic Energy, DAE.

She has been trained in PET-CT at the M. D. ANDERSON CANCER CENTER, UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS, NEW YORK PRESBYTERIAN HOSPITAL, CORNELL UNIVERSITY and BAPIST HOSPITAL, MIAMI, FLORIDA.

1. Scientific Paper – “HMPAO Brain Ictal SPECT in patients with intractable seizures” – accepted as poster presentation in the WFNM&B and EANM Conference at Berlin (August-Sep 1998).

2. “Rest and Nitroglycerine myocardial perfusion study for assessment of myocardial viability” scientific paper presented in the EANM conference at Paris (Sep 2000).

3. Presented a scientific paper – “Functional Evaluation of the Gall Bladder in symptomatic cholelithiasis – does it change the management?” as a Poster in the EANM Congress at Paris (Sep 2000).

4. Presented Scientific Paper – “Role of Myocardial Perfusion Scintigraphy in Asymptomatic Diabetic Patients” at the 5th Biennial Conference of Nuclear Cardiology Society of India (NSCI-5) at Chandigarh (October 22-23, 2005).

5. Contributed an invited article on “Role of FDG PET Scan in Myocardial Viability” in the National Cardiological Society of India (NCSI) Newsletter Vol.4 No.4, 2004.

6. Presented a Scientific paper “Role of FDG PET in Brain Disorders” in the 35th Annual Conference of the Society of Nuclear Medicine, India at Bhopal (December 2003).

7. Scientific Paper – “Pre and Post Betahistine Therapy – 99m Tc-HMPAO Brain SPECT studies in patients with Vertigo – Original article published in Neurology India, Sep 2000 – Volume 48.

8. Presented a Scientific paper “Impact of Lung Perfusion Scintigraphy on the treatment in patients with pulmonary hypertension” in the 30th Annual Conference of Nuclear Medicine at Pune (December 1998).
