A methodical and analytical cardiologist with a distinguished 30+ year career in the Indian Army and advanced fellowship training in interventional cardiology. Proven expertise in complex coronary interventions, cardiac pacing, and heart failure management, with a special interest in physiological pacing. A skilled clinical researcher with numerous peer-reviewed publications and a background in leading teams in high-pressure environments. Committed to advancing patient outcomes through precision, innovation, and mentorship.
Interventional Cardiology
· Coronary Interventions: Proficient in a wide range of procedures including primary angioplasties, basic and calcified CTOs, and interventions in patients with complex anatomies (e.g., dextrocardia, anomalous vessel origins).
o Successfully completed over 400 angioplasty cases.
o Experienced in advanced techniques such as orbital lithotripsy, intravascular imaging (IVUS/OCT), cutting/scoring balloons, and Drug-Coated Balloons (DCB).
· Diagnostic Procedures: Extensive experience with over 2000 diagnostic procedures, including angiograms (post-CABG, PAG, Renal), diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, and venographies.
Cardiac Pacing & Electrophysiology
· Device Implantation: Independently performed over 200 permanent pacemaker and AICD implantations with no major complications.
· Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT): Over 100 CRT-P/CRT-D implantations performed.
· Conduction System Pacing (CSP) - Special Interest:
o Trained under experts and pioneer in the field, assisted/independently performed over 100 CSP procedures.
o First assistant for East India’s first dual-site complete physiological pacing procedure.
· Electrophysiology (EP): Proficient in bradycardia EP studies and has assisted in tachycardia-related EP and ablations for AVRT, AVNRT, and fascicular VT.
Non-Invasive & General Cardiology
· Diagnostics: Skilled in echocardiography, TMT, and Holter studies.
· Medical Writing & Research: Authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and possesses strong skills in drafting case reports.
